Lu (aka "the paper shredder")found great excitement in tearing up cardboard boxes and
phonebooks- he was fondly called the THE SHREDDER. Lu was a fierce protector of home and family, which was obvious
to anyone approaching 'his' car. He also made monthly visits to Seattle's Pike Place Market where he became
a fixture for gathering belly rubs from all. Known there as FLUFFY for his soft fur and butt feathers.
Lu's life was full of adventure and diversity: motorhome trips around the western US and Canada, long hikes in
the wilderness experiencing the wildlife, and swimming in rivers, lakes and oceans!
Lu loved visiting his Gramma Fran and of course any and all vets- he loved the attention.
Lu loved UPS trucks, the sound of air brakes, trains, and howling with fire engines. He was also nicknamed "QUIRKY"
due to his special greeting when he saw someone he loved or if a greeting was required after he'd been left at home,
even if only a short period of time. He could not quell his enthusiasm, his happiness and excitement manifested itself
in his unique "quirky greeting"- whining, grabbing and nipping which everyone of his friends loved....strangers weren't
so sure.
